Jay`s Beef in Schiller Park

Food and service were excellent. We had a cheesy beef sandwich, french fries and the chicken and rice soup. There is nothing special about the soup: it is just chicken with white rice in a cream broth. It is simply a very very good soup. The staff was very friendly and made suggestions. We made a special trip to come here between two flights while on our way to Seattle. I would definitely recommend this place.

I was in the area for work and went into this place expecting to be disappointed, the Italian Beef was hands down one of the best I've ever had!! Loaded with meat and awesome peppers!!! Loved it so much had to get another one to eat for dinner and lunch the next day! Pretty sure I will crave that Italian Beef for a very long time!!

I wanted to take a picture of my food, but it was too damn good to have it sitting there. I am a big fan of fries, and Jay's Beef, did not disappoint. I highly recommend the italian beef with cheese fries.

It's the best beef I've ever eaten, the guys are very polite and the owners are strictly carefully with customers. Those milkshakes are very addictive, you can't stop sipping them.

Their hot cheddar chicken sandwich with mayo is one of my favorites.

If you like beef sandwiches, you have to come here. Best in town and it's the place you drive out of your way for, I do.

I came to order its my first time the little guy up front was showing his hands up and down like he wanted to fight lol . I said let me take a look at the menu and I ordered itslian beef. He said do you want cheese and something else I didnt understand because he was mumbling. He said its extra I said ok.he said $.80 they charged me 9.05. He looked like he had a bad day. Never will visit this place again

The Italian Beef was substantial but pretty bland and sopping wet. The fries were great. A little run-down but typical neighborhood hole-in-the-wall shop. Service was quick.

Schiller parks #2 beef stand. I love the taste of this beef. Home made hot pepper mix is the bomb. Get it dipped. You wont be disappointed.

We've been going here for a good variety of beef and sausage sandwiches for 40+ years now. I can remember the days when you could get an Italian beef sandwich for under $2.00... Those days are long gone, but the quality has remained just as good as it always was... Thanks for the many years of serving up such quality food...

A must try if you are in chicago. They need a better menu to let people know what and how they can order as lots of people have never been.

The beef was pretty good, but two huge chunks of red pepper were added, but not asked for. Would have rather have had more beef, even though there was a decent amount. The burger was pretty mediocre and overcooked. Breaded mushrooms were yummy and a good amount of marinara, which is better than many places that skimp. First time trying the place and had DoorDash (which is so overpriced) deliver it. The first thing the delivery woman said was "The place is run by little kids with no adult in sight. Oldest couldn't have been more than 14." That confirms what others have posted. There should be at least one adult around to make sure things are kept under control. And if it is true that the kids are under 14, is that even legal? I'm rating solely on the food, but honestly, because I don't trust a bunch of children to prepare my food, I won't likely order there again. I don't understand the reasoning behind it. Cheap labor?

Great service and Italian beef!

I've been coming here since jr high 1982. After cheerleading practices or after a Basketball Game we all came here . Best Beef. And great Hotdogs. And I LoveLove the cheese for the fries. Great Job Frankie and all staff .and maybe next here you can give my son a job.

Very nice people over there

This is one of the best Chicago Italian Beefs you can get in the city. If you are traveling from out of town this is a 5 minute ride from the airport. I suggest an Italian Beef - 'juicy' not dry - with hot peppers. Get a pizza puff too

Tender fat free beef in generous portions. Hot peppers that are not to hot with celery for crunch.

First time at this Jay's and they don't disappoint.

There are now children that work there with no adult. From being disrespectful to customers, pushing each other around, sitting on counters where food is prepped... It's amazing people still go here and they haven't been shut down. Was a loyal customer for over 20 years but I'll never return now. It really saddens me how it went so downhill.

Great location when you don't want to go into the inner city for a beef & dogs.Right off the tri-state tollway.

Enjoyed many of great italian beefs and combos while living in the area years ago. Stopped before going to airport to fly back to new home in Seattle. Had some sandwiches packed to take home. Best giardiner.

Simple menu with Italian Beef done right. If you've got a layout at O'hare, Jay's would be definitely worth the trip.
